FAPIA Goes Virtual for Continuing Education and Networking
In the era of a global pandemic, the Florida Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (FAPIA) is meeting the needs and demands of the public adjusting industry for convenient and informative educational opportunities in a virtual setting. The newly launched Public Adjuster Academy CE series allows public adjusters to comply with continuing education requirements while receiving educational opportunities from some of the best first party claim experts in the industry — all from the comfort of your home or office.
The great news?
Public Adjuster Academy courses are FREE to FAPIA members and are available to non-members for only $75.00. You will have the opportunity to engage with our faculty members during the presentations, and each course will include its own set of “public adjuster toolbox” resource materials for you to keep.
Below are two Public Adjuster Academy courses already approved for credit:
October 15 from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.: The mandatory Virtual 5-Hour Public Adjuster Law and Ethics Course. The state requires that public adjusters take this course once every 2 years, so if you need it, this is a great opportunity to take care of that requirement.
October 22 from 10 a.m. - Noon: Windows Webinar - To Repair or Not to Repair? That is the Question! This course will cover some of the obvious and not-so-obvious damages that glazing systems sustain in wind events. Don’t leave money on the table because you don’t know what to look for. Every public adjuster should sign up for this valuable online course.
Our Public Adjuster Apprentice Training series of 5 classes will be submitted for credit to DFS and will be launched in January. FAPIA encourages all new public adjusters and every apprentice to take advantage of these valuable courses that have been curated specifically for them. Public adjusters who are training apprentices should make sure they participate in these courses to get the most out of their apprenticeship. Dates will be announced shortly, so please check your email for any notifications from FAPIA.
Fall Conference — FAPIA Virtual 2020
In December, FAPIA will offer its fall conference titled FAPIA Virtual 2020. This will be a three-day event, and we will be submitting for both CE and CLE credits for each course presented. Members will receive access to our business meeting and will be asked to vote on new Board members as well as updates to Bylaws and Code of Ethics for the association. Our fall conference will be all online including virtual meeting rooms, courses, exhibitor hall, on demand video hall and other fun and informative interactive areas to keep attendees engaged. We will be featuring a $1,000.00 Amazon Gift Card as the event grand prize for attendees who play the leaderboard game by visiting Exhibitors and engaging in some of the other features such as our online scavenger hunt.
Networking in a virtual setting is not usually possible, but FAPIA Virtual 2020 will feature video and non-video chat capability for sponsors, exhibitors and all guests so people can interact, touch base and make connections. The Board and Convention Committee are excited to bring you state-of-the-art technology that is sure to make this event one-of-a-kind for our industry. All public adjusters are invited to register and participate in this special event.
